Joe likes to make a little noise before falling asleep at night, which makes it a lot of fun to check on him through the video monitor.
Here he is looking right at the camera and getting some things off his chest.

Patrick put these two photos together to show the similarity between Joe and me. (That’s me on the left, around 2 years old?)
He definitely has my mouth and nose (which is to say, my dad’s mouth and nose). But there are babies in his play group who started out looking like one parent — and now look exactly like the other one.
Who knows what he’ll look like a year from now?
Joe gets a kick out of blowing kisses and playing peek-a-boo — as long as you do all the work for him!
Oatmeal with tahini was not a big hit, so we spent most of our lunch break making noises and faces at each other.
Winter is definitely back, after that beautiful spring-like weather we had last week. Which is OK, because Joe has a fun winter outfit that he needed to wear before spring rolled around for keeps:
It is very hard not to eat him up when he’s dressed like that. I don’t know how he gets through a day without my teeth marks all over him!
His new favorite pastime is tousling his own hair:
This will calm you right down:
I’m taking a page from my friend Krisie and using Flickr for our videos from now on. They display in a much higher quality there than on YouTube.
Enjoy!

It was ridiculously beautiful out today, so the three of us went for a stroll around Carytown. Patrick and I ate sushi while Joe napped in his stroller, and about the time Joe woke up it was time to head back home.
We put a blanket out on the lawn and had some fun in the fresh air. We haven’t been able to spend that much time outside since around October. He still loves it out there!
