This week’s expedition was to the Mariners’ Museum in Newport News, Va.
This is an incredible museum, wonderfully done and really large in scope. Joe and I highly recommend it if you like history, boats or anything related to life at sea.

Just chillin’ in a lifeboat. Chewing khat, waiting on snipers.
But she said she’d never let go!
What is this riddle, wrapped in a wooden box?
We went to the pet store today. Joe likes fish.
Birds, rodents and lizards, too.
But mostly fish.
Joe and I took some photos today.
What the hell did we just find?!
Joe Brasky telling me yet another BS story. “I $h@#t you not … this one time in a bar in TJ …”
Joe has a cold, which was a great excuse for both of us to stay home. He was a hellion for a couple of hours, but most of the day was spent on the couch.
Quick detour from the path of destruction to mess with a flash.
Fridge magnets are good and all, but they’re better on the floor. In another room.
These remotes are in the wrong place. They belong in the bathtub.
The ol’ upside-down warface bead grab trick. (Careful Joe, it took Mama almost an hour at Mardi Gras to rack up that collection.)
I don’t always get sick, but when I do, I’m still cooler than my father. That camel is right behind me, isn’t he?
The Arc South of the James had a meeting tonight with three members of the Virginia General Assembly. Delegates Kirk Cox, Rosalyn Dance and Riley Ingram answered questions and got some great input in advance of the next session starting in a couple of months. Plenty of photos here.
Joe had some things to say, but mostly he just worked the room.
“I’m out of order?!”

Congratulations and job well done to those who put the event together!
